I really love this picture. There is something about mist that really stimulates my imagination. When I was four years old, I would look out the window on cold mornings and watch the cars pass by our home. The exhaust coming from tail pipes was quite visible on those mornings and I was certain that those wisps of exhaust were Goblins. It seemed obvious to me. On evenings when the Fog would roll in, it made the outside world look dreamy. And it made being indoors seem all the more cozy, with the fire going, and the doors locked against the night and everyone safe at home. These days I live near a lake so during cooler weather, when we have a mist covered morning, it means that it will be a really bright sunny afternoon. And what a vision when the Sun breaks through the mist, and pieces of it go drifting away at first. Then it melts altogether away. But while it lasts, misty mornings make me just want to stay at home and dream, or write stories, or read a really good book all snuggled up by the fire. And have you ever seen mist rising from a lake? It makes the air appear more alive, heavy with moisture and the scents of the land. You could almost put it on like a shawl. A cold shawl! It makes me cold just to think of it...back to the fire with something warm to drink!

Thanks for the links. Beautiful song! And what an incredible voice. Ah Nature--She inspires great expression in Her name!
