Or maybe I should title this "Fixing A Flat"
I opened the book to stick the customary Pegana Press Bookmark in and started laughing uncontrollably. The book had been bound upside down. It was beautifully done, but not anything I can in good conscience send out to a paying customer.
I think I've just about reached my limit. My tires are deflating and I'm running on a nearly empty tank. I have honestly taken on too much.
The only reason why I'm even writing this right now is that I'm too tired to do any thing else and that includes sleep.
I LOVE my life right now. I love all the fun, creative things that I am engaged in at the moment. I keep attracting activities like stray puppies. The word is out, it seems.
If at any moment I try to lay down and get 40 winks, the phone rings (and it's always someone I really want to talk to), or I have to rescue a baby shrew from the cats (it was two today), or some other unlooked for thing pops up which must be addressed in the moment, (like that whole eating thing--sheesh!)
I know there are a lot of really important things going on in the world...Climate change, GMO labeling, Health care, Congress running amok with their heads lodged firmly up their "donkeys". But frankly, I'm too busy living to notice. I'm disgusted with both sides of each argument. OK, so the world is going to Hel in a Hand basket. Let's just get on with it.
Obviously the governing bodies are incapable of doing anything of value in the world, so I guess it's up to us to just keep on going--only let's not keep playing their game. Let's just find a way to live our lives on our own terms. Let's stop being distracted by the temper tantrums and the arguments. Let's just be as true as we can to our own hearts, and live as close to our own basic truth as possible. I'm sure the world would heal much faster, if there were less politicians and less corporate billionaires running things. But this is what we have to work with--that is as long as we keep telling that story.
The world will continue to go on. We may not survive, but our planet will. And my guess is she will regenerate much faster if their are no humans to "manage" everything.
See I told you I was punchy. What started out to be an amusing little story about binding a book upside down, turned into a rant.
But at least I'm awake again. I hope you are too. <3
